The *Waste Process Technician I* is an entry-level role responsible for safely executing essential tasks associated with waste processing.
An ideal candidate will have a general understanding of waste processing equipment including forklifts, forklift attachments, hose operations, and valve operations.
This is a *full-time* position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
The *Waste Processing Technician I *will perform a wide variety of general manual labor tasks and will report to the Facilities Supervisor and General Manager.

* Process facility paperwork and inventory logs for material processing & disposal.
* Recognize and identify potential site hazards * Conduct quality assurance, quality control checks, as well as laboratory analysis related to receiving, shipping of waste and materials.
* Receive shipments and unload vehicles.
* Move containers & transfer container contents.
* Unload trucks into solidification pits, out bounding waste.
* Mix, solidify non-hazardous liquid and sludge waste streams.
* Safely operate variety of equipment including but not limited to pressure washers, power tools, hand trucks, forklifts, and other power tools.
* Pressure wash tankers, roll-off boxes, and containers.
* Ensure adherence to basic facility permit requirements, prioritizing safety and compliance standards in all daily activities.
* Follow all safety protocols/ procedures to prevent accidents, injuries during waste handling and disposal activities.
* Perform routine maintenance and inspection of waste collection; transportation equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
* Maintain cleanliness of the facility and surrounding grounds.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
*Supervisory Responsibilities:* None.
*Essential Skills/Abilities:* * Experience with forklift and training certification.
* Must be familiar with operating heavy equipment & machinery.
* This position handles hand tools, air compressors, pressure washers, pumps, air guns, and other manual facility equipment.
* Strong mechanical skills * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with coworkers and clients.
*Education and Experience:* * High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training in waste management or related field is a plus.
* Heavy Equipment Operation: 1 year (preferred) *Essential Physical Requirements:* * Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Standing, walking, reaching.
* Vision: Must have adequate vision to read documents, operate equipment, and perform tasks accurately.
* Hearing: Ability to hear and respond to verbal instructions and warnings.
* Physical Stamina: Endurance to work in environments that may require physical exertion and repetitive motions.
* Mobility: Agility and flexibility to navigate various workspaces and environments safely.
* Climbing: Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and other elevated surfaces as needed.
* Performs duties in all weather conditions and works with exposure to extreme conditions and potentially hazardous conditions.
* Must wear respirator.
*Work Location:* Onsite at our *Cambridge, Ohio* location.
*Travel Required:* No travel required.
