PLANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER HEBRON, OHIO As a member of the finance team, the Plant Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations for the Hebron Ohio foam plant.
This includes overseeing the day-to-day finance operations and to provide plant operational management with financial feedback.
Other routine duties include month end; expenditure management, periodic financial forecasts, financial systems management, financial operations & analysis, and ensuring strong financial internal controls are in place.
The Role: Your work will include, but not be limited to: Financial operations & analysis – including providing a weekly flash report; maintaining accruals; oversee and post wall to wall physical inventory events (semi-annual basis); function as the plant lead for all balance sheet reviews & financial operation audits Expenditure management – Approve & log all plant credit card purchases; approve non-prod purchasing request in the Coupa system; approval of expense reports & planning for and analyzing capital expenditures.
Month end/ Quarter end closing process – Manage the month end closing process; review and approve journal entries & balance sheet account reconciliations; prepare month end accruals as needed; Ensure the plant’s intercompany transactions are properly posted and in balance with partner plants; ensure the proper accounting for cash using interface information from warrior, people soft, Citibank and all other relevant Lear systems.
Prepare the month end & quarter end closing packs which includes the variance walks and related schedules and presenting results to division management.

Period forecasting – Prepare the company forecast in partnership with corporate guidance and plant operational management input; The development of a department by department spending forecast using input from department leadership.
Inputting of the plant forecast into HFM including all relevant balance sheet accounts, P&L accounts, and headcount.
Completion of the forecast review pack including variance walks and presenting the forecast to division management.
Financial management systems: ensure the timely entry and integrity of financial data in Lear’s various financial reporting systems (PPR, PSR, OIP, HFM, etc.
); running all reports from Peoplesoft-AP, Peoplesoft Payroll, SAP, LCIS, Coupa, Concur, FAS, Warrior, Managepath, etc.
as needed to complete financial tasks; management of the Coupa portal (spend period setup, new user approvals at appropriate access levels, cost center development, etc.
) & manage the fixed asset system (FAS) Internal Controls: Ensure plant compliance with all company internal controls as specified by the LEAP manual; ensure the accuracy of all pricing and costing in SAP; review current inventory costs and roll standards as necessary; oversee the cycle counting process; complete required user review for Lear’s various systems and ensure a proper segregation of duties; ensure & certify SOX testing is completed each quarter and is compliant with relevant policies, procedures, and GAAP accounting standards.
Prepare white papers for all judgmental accruals > $500k and maintain LARF’s for customer payments related to LTA’s.
