We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to join our finance team.
As an assistant accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial transactions and maintaining excellent communication with both internal teams and customers.
Your proficiency in accounting principles and strong interpersonal skills will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Basic Understanding of Accounting Principles: Familiarize with fundamental accounting principles and processes to support various financial activities.
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and vendors to address inquiries, resolve issues, and provide necessary information.
• Past-Due Issues Handling: Be willing to discuss past-due payment issues with customers in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
• Accurate Cash Application Skills: Ensure precise and timely application of incoming payments to appropriate customer accounts.
• Cash Application Issue Resolution: Proactively contact customers to resolve cash application discrepancies, including short, over, and duplicate payments.
• Customer Service Duties: Provide exceptional customer service to assist customers with payment-related inquiries and resolve concerns promptly.
• Accurate Data Entry: Demonstrate accurate and efficient data entry skills, particularly in managing accounts payable records.
• Payment Discrepancy Analysis: Analyze and investigate payment discrepancies to identify root causes and propose appropriate solutions.
• Excel Skills: Utilize spreadsheet software (e.

, Microsoft Excel) to organize and manipulate financial data effectively.
• SAP Experience (Desirable): Experience with SAP software is a plus but not mandatory.
Training will be provided for candidates without prior SAP experience.
Other Duties as Needed: Assist with various finance-related tasks and projects as required by the finance team.
Qualifications:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, is essential.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
