How You'll Perform the Role The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the assets and equipment reliability of the Caldwell, OH facility.
They will lead, train, and coach personnel in the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance including planning, scheduling, preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
They will participate and lead continuous improvement and capital project efforts.
Create and foster a safe and accountable work environment.
Encourage an environment of high levels of engagement and development by conducting team member performance evaluations, building an effective team with open dialogue and overall cohesiveness and managing conflict.
Develop and optimize maintenance practices/programs by providing team members with adequate information regarding maintenance-related issues.
Ensure the continuation of project development to further enhance maintenance department and continually focusing on customer needs.
Optimize personal development by continually increasing knowledge of maintenance processes and overall value chain, implementing innovative management through project/process development and improving decision-making ability concerning maintenance issues.
Lead and provide direction for setting clear Key Objectives and providing coaching, training and support to achieve the plant-wide KPI’s.
Develop and maintain the Maintenance Department annual budget.
Develop and execute projects designed to make improvements in the plant’s quality and waste performance.
Review, develop and implement Preventative and Predictive Maintenance processes to reduce unplanned downtime and increase overall asset efficiency.
Lead the plant’s reliability improvement, including deployment of root cause failure analysis and other troubleshooting techniques to prevent asset reliability incidents.
Lead equipment installations, rebuilds and relocations that are aligned with the International Converter business strategy.
Maintain 100% on-time completion of PM’s and certifications.
Initiate and facilitate improvement projects within the Maintenance area.
Maintain appropriate spare parts inventory levels necessary to support manufacturing equipment and PM schedules.
What We Need From You Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Process or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university required.
Advanced degree and relevant certifications preferred.
5-7+ years' hands-on maintenance supervision and engineering experience in an industrial facility required, preferably in a laminating and converting environment.
Proven record of creating a safe work environment.
Strong technical aptitude and proven ability to utilize structured problem-solving methods to deliver results.
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve results on-time and within budget.
Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance, CMMS, Lean; Six Sigma; TQM; ISO; internet software; manufacturing software; statistical process control software; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
Knowledge of SQF Food Safety Standards a plus.
