What you will do: Act as a lead worker and perform environmental investigations and oversight activities for lower level environmental specialists and other staff, and coordinates lower level staff activities (e.
g.
, investigations, project development, project construction, etc.
).
Conduct AML complaint investigations and watershed and site investigations to evaluate potential mine-related problems & screen/review sites for program eligibility.
Prepare project-specific environmental assessment or categorical exclusion for each approved & funded project.
Serve as project coordinator for innovative reclamation techniques and special projects, reviews and ensures completion of technical documents, letters, and plans prepared by lower level staff.
Prepare grants and supplemental documents (e.
g.
project narratives & proposals) to obtain state and federal funding of abandoned mine lands sites which includes planning and scheduling field reviews of proposed sites with engineers to collect data, meet with engineers.

Qualifications Completion of undergraduate core coursework in environmentally-related discipline AND 3 years of relevant programmatic experience.
