This role analyzes schedule performance and makes recommendations to the project team to maintain course with project delivery expectations.
What you'll do Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to build and maintain the integrated master schedule Update project schedules, provide a schedule summary report and facilitate schedule review meetings Review, monitor, and challenge the accuracy of all schedules.
Check for critical path accuracy, constraints, durations, logic sequencing, scope of work, etc.
Communicate to the Project Team the impact(s) to schedule of obstacles and/or changes in work execution plan Identify and track external and internal scheduling issues and document lessons learned Participates in team meetings to capture changes to critical and near critical path activities Provide support to Project Manager by assessing and documenting delays and impacts; discuss what-if scenarios, offer alternate work plans, and provide recommendations Partner with Project Team, Engineering, Procurement, and material handling to anticipate requirements necessary to meet construction needs, customer expectations and the business plan Participate in qualitative and quantitative cost and schedule risk assessments Partner with Project Manager to modify work management based on financial implications, compliance issues and/or availability of resources Identify opportunities for improvement to procedures, and processes Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external team.
Minimum Qualifications Degree/technical degree in Accounting, Business Management, Engineering or Project Management Minimum 6+ years experience Proficiency in MS Project Demonstrated knowledge and Project Management skills (analytical and organizational) Demonstrated knowledge and ability to quickly assess and make sound decisions Demonstrated computer proficiency Advanced Primavera P6 user preferred; experience with project scheduling Preferred Qualifications AACE certification and/or continuing education in scheduling Knowledge of FERC process Natural gas industry/construction experience preferred; understands construction project life cycle; assists others in their understanding of these concerns Extensive knowledge of budgeting, construction and maintenance practices and procedures Ability to gather and analyze data to make informed decisions; ability to accurately obtain, interpret, and transcribe a variety of communications and instructions; works with others to develop their ability to analyze schedule data and communicate that analysis to others Able to recognize and evaluate risks, hazards, losses and prevent conflicts between activities Ability to resolve problems and make effective business decisions; driving value added results Ability to work well with all levels of Company and contract personnel to facilitate the accomplishment of objectives.
