Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance of all equipment.
Assist in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements when so directed.
Perform thorough work with resolve and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from in house customers.
Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform long lasting solutions.
Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
Must have basic PLC experience and troubleshooting techniques.
Welding and machinist experience a plus.
Continually be advised of equipment updates, and operational issues communicating same with off shift maintenance personnel.

What Success Looks Like:
Assist with equipment design and integration per manufacturing/processing needs.
Ability to independently troubleshoot and improve upon existing manufacturing equipment.
Read, write, and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams for equipment design, builds, installation, etc.
Program PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc.
to improve overall plant automation efforts.
Manage assigned capital and continuous improvement projects.
Write work instructions, LOTO, and preventative maintenance procedures for new and modified equipment.
Ensure technical resources are properly trained on new/modified equipment or procedures.
Support maintenance activities as needed.
Work flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed.
Attend outside training/seminars for continual education
Your Credentials:
Must be able to communicate effectively with all Quanex team members and outside resources.
Must be detail-oriented, professional, self-driven, and flexible to the requirements of each project.
Must have a working knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Must have a working knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved with manufacturing equipment and processes.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
Must have experience with PLCs, drives, HMIs, and other electrical components.
Salary Range: $25/hr.
- $34/hr.
