*Maintenance HVAC Technician*
*Basic Position Function:*
Repairing, servicing and upkeep of all the HVAC units and Refrigeration systems of a facility and Processes.
In addition, the HVAC technician must be proactive in ensuring that preventative maintenance of all equipment is done promptly to help prevent future problems with equipment.
*Reporting Relationships:*
Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor
*Qualifications:*
Must have Universal Section 608 HVAC License for recovery, reclaiming and charging refrigerated systems and documentation for EPA.
Must have a basic understanding of HVAC principles of operation and Unit repairs, installation and PM.
Industrial refrigeration systems include Trane, Carrier, Danfoss, Bush and Dunham and other manufacturers.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures/owner’s manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
*Responsibilities:*
Regular inspection of all HVAC Units commercial & industrial equipment of a facility.
Detect any defects and malfunctions, immediately repairing, and refurbishing the same.
Coordinate with production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of refrigeration systems.
Report all defects and damages to the maintenance supervisor.
Comply with the industry standards and safety regulations of EPA.
Maintain all records of the repair and maintenance work conducted in the facility in WMS.
Efficiently manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment - servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electrical) principals.
Other duties may be assigned.
*Experience Requirements:*
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Shift and Hours*
The position is an hourly position with working hours between 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime.
*Travel Requirements:*
Occasional travel to locations owned by Wiley Companies will be required.
