This position is responsible for assisting in the preparation of the company’s financial statement through month-end closing process, solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills.
Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and cash flow/budget analyses.
You will also be responsible for assisting with audit and other external reporting responsibilities including J-Sox Compliance reporting.
Prepare and submit Journal Entries for approval.
Assist with updating THK databases, various reporting files and related SOPs.
Develop and maintain non-financial measures in manufacturing performance measurement system.
Assist with inventory control and reconciliation, including review and audit of adherence to cycle count procedures and lead annual physical inventory/fixed asset control.
Prepare detailed monthly forecasts based on production drivers and key performance metrics.
Provide cost review to update plant organization on trends, opportunities, and needs.
Ensure plant conformance to corporate property accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure integrity of and accurate valuation of the plant's assets
Assist with preparation and development of annual plant budgets; develop standards and update period expense budgets in company systems.
Assist and coordinate studies on process improvement and capital appropriations.
Assist with manufacturing control processes to support monthly closing, perpetual inventory, standard cost development and maintenance.
Assist with implementation of plant internal control procedures and aid plant personnel on preparation of plant practices & procedures.
Assist with department audits to ensure compliance with corporate auditing requirements.
Review/Analyze and communicate both financial and non-financial performance on a continuing basis.
Train and assist appropriate personnel on proper reporting of production activities.
Generate and help to quantify cost savings initiative opportunities to support plant management team.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as accountant, with proven ability to problem-solve or resolve accounting issues.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, financial analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Time management and the ability to meet deadlines are important.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
At least 1 years’ experience in a mid to large size company, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Costing in standard costing, cost accounting, inventory control, monthly closing, and reporting/analysis.
Ability to manage and staff the department and delegate tasks and projects as needed.
Ability to sample tasks and projects of employees to determine if requirements are being done according to policy and regulation.
A positive attitude towards co-workers, employees, and others of company.
Must be able to positively communicate, engage, and work alongside with members of different cultures, ethnicities, and nationalities.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
