Summary
looking for a Maintenance Electrician who maintains, repairs, tests, and troubleshoots electrical, electronic and related components and systems throughout the facility.
The position is a 3rd shift position, 9:30PM to 6AM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Performs routine repairs, inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, devices and components.
Tests, inspects and troubleshoots equipment and electro/pneumatic controls as necessary for automatic equipment; reports equipment and machinery operational status as directed.
* Works on new installations of all power, light, motors, transformers, control panels, relays, electronic equipment, and equipment in building applications.
* Provides assistance to engineering associates in troubleshooting and repairs of electrical services and electrical/electronic equipment, including PLC’s, in order to maintain serviceability and reliability of equipment.
* Reads blueprints and electrical diagrams.
Suggests modifications and improvements to equipment and implements changes as directed.
Updates all prints to reflect changes made.
* Keeps accurate records of time and material chargeable to each separate job.
* Maintains Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) with accurate & thorough data.
* Follows safety policies and maintains good housekeeping in work area.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
* Must be a graduate of a vocational/technical school in an electrical/electronic craft and have at least two years electrical experience in an industrial environment OR must have some post secondary education in electronic/electrical craft and four years electrical experience in an industrial environment.
* Capable of reading/interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, logic and wiring diagrams.

* Able to troubleshoot, repair and test mechanical equipment common to distribution centers, such as conveyors, diverters, and packaging equipment
* Must be able to properly start, operate and shutdown all facility systems.
* Must be proficient in all plumbing operations and in the use of pipe fitting tools.
* Working knowledge of existing laws and operational requirements set forth by governing agencies.
* Must be able to perform electrical welding and possess a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment for troubleshooting systems controlled by electrical devices.
* Must have the ability to make correct, expedient repairs under pressure.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Strong verbal communication skills.
* Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate flexibility.
* Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
